Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae. It principally affects the cooler parts of body, mainly skin and peripheral nerves; it also involves muscles, eyes, bones, testis internal organs. Histopathological study leprosy very important in understanding disease, its varied manifestations complications. Clinical diagnosis early lesions offer difficulties even to experienced dermatologists leprologists. A definitive may be possible histopathological examination. Histological when available deemed gold standard for leprosy. : To diagnose case using biopsy specimen. clinical correlation among patients attending tertiary referral center. classify lesion according Ridley Jopling (RJ) classification. The present was conducted over period 18 months from Jan 2019 July 2020. Total 51 new suspected cases were selected on ground dermatological OPD. These subjected biopsy. classification done basis Riedly- criteria. Out total 40 showing changes examination.Majority males (53.06%), while females (46.94%) constituted minority with male female ratio 1.1:1.
